Ways to tackle and combat Cellulite …
CELLULITE DESTROYED If you are like me, you dread and even unconsciously think about the cellulite on your belly and thighs! Over the past few years, I have noticed more fat deposits around the under arms, belly and thighs. Cellulite is the fat storage or deposit that occurs right under your skin that look like dimples. We sometimes refer to them as stretch marks or just dimples without really knowing the cause. Some people like the dimples on their buttocks or thighs.
Well, I should confess that I have gained a few pounds and I am guilty of that mid night snack since I started working the graveyard shift Most women have them on the thighs and buttocks and sometimes they appear as small dimples on the side of your arms and thighs. This occurs when there is enough fat storing under your skin due to many factors. These Factors include –
Poor Circulation, Lack of exercise, Genes, Age, Poor Diet and Gender. All these sometimes play a role in causing the cellulite. Poor Circulation caused by lack of movement or sedentary lives or poor health may result in cellulite in some areas. Lack of Exercise is another factor that may result in Cellulite. That means we have to do more exercises that help us firm and burn these fat deposits for example Cardio that helps with Circulation and increased body fat being burned.
Gender For A while I did not believe that gender played a role in this, but it is true women have higher tendencies to have Cellulite than men even in the same age group. I guess women we are the biggest culprits. Recently I have noticed the cellulite behind the upper arms and all the jiggling that comes with it! Hard to deal with but with some kind of exercise for example, lifting weights Ugly!!
Genes Now we have an excuse to blame someone else for the cellulite because studies show that we inherit the genes from our parents that contribute to the workings of our bodies. I wonder though how much a good healthy lifestyle contributes to the change of these gene effects?
Age is another factor that surely makes a lot of difference. In my 20s, I noticed women with Stretch Marks and dimples as we called them on the upper parts of their breasts and I would wonder how that happened. Now I am older and in my 40s I kick myself for being so naive. Stretch Marks are showing their ugly faces everywhere on my skin including on my inner thighs. By the way women! I have noticed that men get them too. Maybe not as much as we do but that makes me feel a bit better sometimes.
I know this is not a laughing matter anymore, so this has led me to pay more attention to all those Creams or Cellulite commercials that promise to destroy and remove them completely. I have seen products that help to tighten the skin around the Tummy and Breasts, could they probably reduce the appearance of stretch Marks! Just a thought!
Poor Diet or what we love to eat maybe causing us the Cellulite. When we indulge in those fatty foods or sugary foods, which I am so guilty of doing, we may be sending the fat to its storage place which then becomes difficult to remove. We need Foods rich in healthy oils, fiber that promote the body’s natural fat burning or excretion. The Ketogenic Diet has been the rage of late and Intermittent Fasting if you want to look more into them! Another thing that I have recently come across, is Eating according to your blood type. There is a book talking about this particular way of eating and gives instructions on what to eat or avoid. You can find the book “Eat Right For Your Type” that is the name of the book on Amazon if you are at all curious like me and want to improve your diet and hopefully lose the cellulite in the process! Now the question is, how do we fight or destroy the Cellulite from our bodies once we have it? Changing our diets could be one of the ways, we combat it!
How do the Creams Work and are there other ways to fight with these ugly monsters? There are many creams in the market today I am sure you have seen them too that claim to clear cellulite and others say they reduce the appearance and others still promise to destroy them completely! I have seen during my research by reading different articles and media there are effective methods or ways that we can use to at least conquer this monster.
1: One of the ways is targeted exercises that help to firm up the skin while increasing circulation that promotes the body to excrete the fat that caused these deposits. Some weight lifting, crunches, jogging etc maybe can help transform the fatty skin into muscle and tighten them. Something to consider!
2: Use of Creams that when massaged on the affected areas help redistribute that fat under the skin and promote increased natural fat excretion from the body. You can find Creams on Amazon or other stores.
3: The use of more medical methods like- Laser Treatments which require the use of Ultrasound or Ultra Shape as they are referred to. This is the use of light machines or equipment that massage and distribute the fat then speed up the fat removal from your body. Some practitioners use the Mesotherapy a non-surgical technique that injections to target the fat cells.

4: Homeopathic Treatments are also being used by people who prefer the more natural ways of doing things. This includes the use of Herbs and Plant extracts that promise to remove the fat deposits. Before using this method or any other that may affect your medication, consult with your doctor to be sure.
Recently, I came across an Advertisement of a Homemade product using stuff that you have in the house like Coffee mixed with other products that promise to do the trick or eliminate the Cellulite completely. Now to be honest, I didn’t look into it fully but I wonder do they apply them as a body scrub or is it from drinking it! I am curious to know, have you tried it?
As with anything, it is best to research the different methods available and make the choices according to what suits you considering the treatments and the people performing them. Very important to find proper referrals for treatments that require these types of therapies.
